Two veteran players confirmed for Convention

Based on inside sources, we have confirmed that Bob Dernier - 1984 Gold Glove winning center fielder - and 20-game winner Jon Lieber will be attending the Convention this year.

If you have never had the chance to meet either, you should really make it a point.  Mr. Dernier has always been very friendly and can sometimes be found in the lobby bar on Friday and Saturday night.  He loves to talk baseball and golf!

Mr. Lieber is always very approachable as well, and he will likely be happy to discuss the finer points of pitching.

We will certainly update when any further information is received or the Cubs finally announce the attendees.  Stay tuned!

    Wouldn't it be nice if the Cubs had a surprise announcement on Friday night?? Like Bryce Harper...
